Alyssa Monahan, LMHC is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts and Maine. She has been in private practice for over two years and also serves as an Adjunct Professor in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at New England College. Alyssa began her career in corporate human resources, bringing over five years of experience in workplace dynamics, communication, and organizational systems into her clinical work.

She is a Certified EMDR Therapist and Nationally Certified Counselor, specializing in supporting clients through transitional periods with a client-centered, culturally responsive, and strength-based approach. Alyssa’s style is both collaborative and direct, offering thoughtful guidance while honoring each client’s autonomy and lived experience. Her work is grounded in evidence-based practices and delivered within a calm, supportive environment that fosters clarity, resilience, and meaningful change.

Alyssa has a particular passion for working with women navigating the perinatal period, including infertility, infertility-related trauma, and pregnancy loss. She is committed to creating a space where clients feel deeply heard, understood, and supported.
